About PadReset

Free your Epson printer

PadReset was born from a shared frustration: you paid for a printer and the manufacturer blocks it in software to force an extra payment or a service visit. We believe owning something includes being able to maintain and repair it.

Our immediate goal is to be the reference point (in Spanish first) for recovering an Epson printer locked by the pad counter: clear explanations, vetted free tools and a safe guide. Mid-term we aim to foster a single unified tool combining the best of each project.

Beyond getting your printer back, you also reduce e-waste: thousands of perfectly healthy machines end up in landfills because of a programmable counter.

Credits: where the merit lies

PadReset is a directory and a guide. The reverse engineering and the databases owe everything to these projects:

Each tool keeps its original license (AGPL-3.0, EUPL-1.2 or Apache-2.0); respect them if you redistribute. This site's code is MIT and its texts CC BY-SA 4.0.

Donations (optional)

The site charges nothing and will never charge for a reset. If you want to give back, donate directly to the upstream projects: they do the hard work. Support links will appear here once configured.
